My team investigates the role of the human skin microbiome in health and disease (e.g., skin disorders, implant-associated infections). Complementary areas of research include antimicrobial resistance, molecular epidemiology, host-pathogen interaction, microbiome editing, and the development of sequence-based tools for microbiome interrogation.
