Whether you want to learn histology yourself or outsource your project, we provide the equipment, training, and expertise to support your needs.
Through training and support, we help users in performing histology using our equipment.
We focus on sharing knowledge and offer project based histological education.
Do not hesitate to contact us for an introduction.
Too many things to do?
Outsource your project to us and we will do the embedding, sectioning and histological staining of both paraffin- and cryosections for you.
Basic support, to get an overview on how histology can help you in your projects, and introduction to our instruments are free of charge.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need guidance. Additional support hours can be requested.
The tissue processor is infiltrating your samples with paraffin using programs adapted to the type of sample.
The technique is used to make fixed tissues suitable for embedding within a supportive medium such as paraffin, and consists of three sequential steps: dehydration, clearing, and infiltration.
Embedding your samples in paraffin, securing the right orientation for cutting sections of your sample. The size of the paraffin block is adapted to the size of the sample.
Sectioning your sample in micron thin sections allows you to see single cell layer.
When dewaxing your sample, staining with both histological staining’s and antibodies is possible.
Sectioning of frozen samples in µm thin sections with out infiltrating the sample.
The sample is often stabilized with a cryo media before sectioning.
Sectioning of fixed and unfixed tissue, section thickness from app. 35 µm to several 100 µm´s.
The sample is often stabilized with 5% agar before sectioning.
Ideal for free floating staining’s.
