About us

The Phenotyping Core Facility was established in 2020 by Professor Vladimir Matchkov as a collaborative project embracing the Department of Biomedicine, local as well as external experts, researchers, and collaborators.

It is the only Phenotyping Core Facility at Aarhus University and as of primo 2025, the Phenotyping Core Facility has grown to serve more than 70 active users and is run and managed on a daily basis by Tina M. Pedersen.

The Phenotyping Core Facility is housed in the Skou building with equipment at several locations in the Skou building and in the Skou Animal Facility.

Our aim is to make the Department of Biomedicine’s combined expertise and resources easily accessible and to ensure user high-standard data generation through training by highly experienced personnel.
