Main focus areas

Genetic studies of the externalizing childhood psychiatric disorders

We perform large-scale genetic studies to identify genetic risk factors for the externalizing childhood psychiatric disorders including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and disruptive behavior disorders (DBDs). We analyze both common and rare variants to identify risk variants, genes, gene-sets, pathways, tissue, and cell types involved in the disorders and characterize the polygenic architecture.

Genetic studies of the substance use disorder

Identification of genetic risk variants, genes, gene-sets, pathways, tissue and cell types involved in substance use disorders and characterization of the polygenic architecture of substance use disorders.

Cross-disorder analyses

Identification of genetic risk factors and biological mechanisms shared across externalizing childhood psychiatric disorders and substance use disorders.
