TRANSCEND aims to train a new generation of scientists and scholars. In this network, we want to co-develop an approach to translational research that embraces biomedical complexity and the heterogeneity of lived experience. We are curious to see how the different projects will impact on each other and what we can learn from TRANSCEND about interdisciplinarity, translation, and the problems that we are trying to understand and to transform.
What is valid knowledge about health and disease? Our research combines historical and philosophical methods with interdisciplinary collaborations to explore the transforming boundaries of medical knowledge. We are especially involved in work package 2, with our Doctoral Candidate working on a project entitled “Scoping Methods in Translational Research: A Historical and Philosophical Inquiry”.
