Profile

I have a PhD in psychiatric genetic epidemiology and experience working with Scandinavian register data. My research interests include disentangling genetic and environmental risk factors for psychiatric disorders, especially personality and mood disorders.

Research

My research focuses on understanding the genetic and environmental risk factors of personality disorder. In addition, I am interested in characterizing the interplay of genetic and environmental risk factors in personality disorder disease trajectories, including psychiatric and somatic comorbidity.

I work with both genotype and Scandivian register data, and my goal is to contribute to a better understanding of the etiology of complex mental health problems.

Teaching activities

I have experience teaching basic theories and methods in genetic epidemiology at the graduate level and give the lecture about personality disorders at the biannual "Introduction to Psychiatric Epidemiology" PhD course at Aarhus University.
