Profile

As a PhD student in Clinical Medicine, I research the kidney’s ability to maintain the body's water balance. My work primarily involves microscopy techniques to study the localization and phosphorylation of aquaporin-2 in cell cultures and tissue samples. I hold a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology.

Research

PhD student focusing on the kidney's ability to maintain water balance in the body. We investigate this by looking at the location of Aquaporin2 (AQP2) channels in both cell cultures and tissues. We use a method called Expansion Microscopy, which is a technique that physically expands a biological sample 4-5 times in both the XY and Z directions. This increases the resolution to a point where we can see individual AQP2-carrying vesicles and allows us to perform population-based analyses of AQP2.

Teaching activities

MSc in molecular biology from Aarhus university
