I am a PhD student studying the tumour immune microenvironment in multiple myeloma, with a particular focus on macrophage biology and function. My research explores the complex interactions between cancer cells and the immune system, aiming to contribute to a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms and identify potential therapeutic opportunities.
My research encompasses both patient-derived material and experimental in vitro models. I have experience managing patient sample collection pipelines and characterising patient-derived material using techniques such as flow cytometry. In vitro, I utilize co-culture models to investigate interactions between macrophages, T cells, and cancer cells, and employ lipid nanoparticles to modulate macrophage function via targeted RNA delivery.
