As Clinical Director, MD, I oversee daily departmental operations—managing staff, budgets, and scheduling. I develop procedures to maintain high-quality laboratory testing. I am trained in cellular and tissue diagnostics.I ensure quality in laboratory work and support staff development. Presently my job is to combine medical expertise with leadership to give patients the best treatment through precise laboratory analyses.
I do research in intestinal pathology with a special focus on screening for intestinal and colorectal cancers. Using molecular analysis including immunohistochemistry, my goal is to learn more about the mismatch repair gene defect system. My research contributes to oncologists being able to treat patients in terms of prognostic and predictive assessment.
I teach specialist doctors, trainee doctors, medical students, bioanalysts and bioanalyst students.
I collaborate with the hospital management and the other department managements. The goal is to be visible, credible and involving.

I lead the laboratory medicine specialties at Randers Regional Hospital, where we perform tests that help make diagnoses. As acting Senior Consultant, Responsible for education in the Pathology Department, I ensure the quality and structure of doctors' further education. In addition, I work to make the hospital more sustainable through "Choose Wisely", digitalization and accreditation projects. All to provide better treatment!
