Abstract

Since June 2022, Muriel Mari is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedicine of the Aarhus University, Denmark. She is studying autophagosome biogenesis in yeast and mammalian cells at the ultrastructural level using techniques such as high-pressure freezing/freeze substitution, electron microscopy, immuno-electron microscopy, electron tomography and correlative light and electron microscopy/tomography.

In her presentation, Muriel Mari will present some of the EM techniques that she applies in unveil the molecular mechanism underlying non-selective, bulk and selective types of autophagy as well as in other intracellular trafficking routes in yeast and mammalian cells.

The talk is 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes of discussion, for a total of 1 hr.

It is possible to sign-up for a free sandwich before Tuesday 13 April.
