The dos and don’ts of writing license applications (or how to increase the likelihood of getting your license application approved)

 

Dear all,

We are hereby inviting you to an informative end-of-work meeting on the dos and don’ts of writing license applications for animal experiments with two members of the Council for Animal Experimentation. The meeting will provide information on:

  • Short introduction to the workflow in the Council for Animal Experimentation
  • New procedure for pre-revision of license applications by the Animal Experiments Inspectorate
  • What is a license?
  • Complexity and quality of applications for animal experiments
  • Importance of the ‘Purpose’ and ‘Benefit’ criterion
  • Coherence between the different sections
  • Alignment and significance of humane endpoint
  • Experimental procedures under special attention
  • Why it is a good idea to involve your local veterinarians

We begin with a short talk by the Council members and continue to an open discussion. 
It will not be possible to discuss specific applications, due to potential conflicts of interest.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday 10th of June from 2-3pm in room 1262-101 (Samfundsmedicinsk Auditorium).
