The Laboratory Animal Core Facility at the Department of Biomedicine is the largest rodent facility at the Faculty of Health, Aarhus University. The facility consists of a closed breeding barrier for the production and breeding of genetically modified mice, and a standard barrier for housing and breeding both mice and rats. The standard barrier facility is open for researchers conducting studies and experiments.
The Animal Facility contributes to both basic and preclinical biomedical research, education in laboratory animal science and offer highly specialized facilities and services.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the practical exercises will take place in the laboratories inside the animal facility.
Please note that K17, K18, K20 and K21 are booked for course activities, and the facility will be housing approximately 20 students during these days. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
