The Animal Facility offers a range of different services and houses a lot of advanced equipment for use in rodents. You can read more about what we offer in the menu tabs to the left. 

Below you can see if there are certain periods during the year where the service level may be reduced due to holidays, internal courses etc.

Reduced Service Levels During Holiday Periods

Please be aware that our service capacity is limited during the following periods:

• Winter Holiday: Week 7
• Easter Holiday: Week varies
• Summer Holiday: Weeks 29–32
  • Please note: Orders for delivery in week 33 must be placed no later than the end of week 27.
• Autumn Holiday: Week 42
• Christmas & New Year: Weeks 52 and 53/1

If you anticipate needing support during holiday periods, we strongly recommend contacting the Animal Facility staff well in advance. We will do our best to arrange assistance or help you find workable alternatives within the holiday limitations.

Planning Your Breeding Ahead of Christmas and New Year

Due to the significantly reduced number of working days during Christmas and New Year, response times and available services will be lower than usual.

To help minimize the number of animals requiring weaning, ear‑marking, and genotyping during the holiday period, we kindly encourage you to adjust your breeding schedules by separating breeding pairs during weeks 47–49.

Please coordinate with your animal technician to ensure appropriate breeding management during Christmas and New Year.
