Temporary Trial of Alternative Aspen Wood Bedding during week 29-33

To ensure optimal quality and cost-efficiency, the Animal Facility will conduct a trial of Aspen wood chip bedding from an alternative trusted supplier.

The bedding is made from the same type of Aspen wood (Populus tremula) and is comparable in chip size, texture, and composition. It is provided with equivalent quality assurance certificates, suitable for use in scientific research.

While we do not expect the temporary switch to affect the animals, minor variations cannot be entirely ruled out. The trial period is scheduled for weeks 29–33.

Notification of this trial period is communicated via the facility homepage and by mail, allowing researchers to plan sensitive studies accordingly in coordination with the dedicated animal technician.
