Eligibility and Nomination 

• Nominee Requirements: PhD Students or Research Year Students who have activelyimplemented one or more of the 3R principles to improve animal welfare and scientific outcomes in their research.
• Who Can Nominate: Department heads, scientific and technical staff, and PhD students.
• Submission: must contain
  • a brief motivation explaining the student’s 3R initiatives and their impact on research
  • relevant documentation (publications, protocols etc.)

Important Dates 

• Nomination Deadline: Sunday, 7 December 2025
• Award Presentation: Health PhD Day, Friday, 16 January 2026
