Research
My focus is applied cell biology, physiology, gastroenterology, and nutrition in animals and humans. Specific research areas are: i) Cellular agriculture – in vitro milk based on cultured cells; ii) Cell-based screening for bioactive components in complex natural mixtures; iii) Effects of bioactive or nutritional components by cell-based models; iv) Lactation and gut physiology in farm animals and humans; v) Impact of nutritional components on intestinal epithelial integrity and intracellular signaling proteins;
