Per Brøndsted Höllsberg

I serve as Vice Dean for Research at the Faculty of Health Sciences. I hold an MD and have a background as a researcher at institutions including Harvard Medical School and the Department of Biomedicine at Aarhus University, where I served as a Professor of Medical Virology for several years. My research expertise encompasses viral infections, immune cells, multiple sclerosis, and molecular virology.
Prior to my current appointment as Vice Dean for Research, my leadership experience includes roles as Deputy Head of Department, Head of Department, and Director of Studies at Aarhus University, as well as Chief of Research and Education at Gødstrup. Hospital

In my current role, my primary focus is on strategic leadership within the field of research. My broad portfolio includes research infrastructure, research quality, academic promotion and recognition, talent development, recruitment, and securing external research funding. Additionally, I work with research security and focus on strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration as well as partnerships with national and international stakeholders.
