I am a molecular biologist with a PhD in Medicine from Aarhus University. My research background is within molecular and cellular biology, with particular experience in immunology and virology.
I am employed as Lab Manager at the Department of Biomedicine, David Olagnier's group. The focus of the research in the Olagnier Lab is oncolytic virotherapy aiming at developing new therapeutic strategies for the treatment of cancer.
My research background includes immunology, virology and host–pathogen interactions, with research experience since 2015. I have contributed to studies of immune regulation, complement and CD46, and virus–cell interactions.
My earlier research focused on the Na⁺/K⁺-ATPase and its structure–function relationship in health and neurological disease, providing a strong foundation in protein biochemistry and molecular and cellular biology.
I have the overall responsibility for the organisation and day-to-day coordination of the laboratory. My role combines laboratory management with specialised experimental and methodological support for biomedical research projects. My job includes maintaining and developing experimental workflows, and ensuring efficient operation of laboratory facilities, procedures and workflows.
Since 2023, I have also served as union representative for the academic staff at the Department of Biomedicine.
