The Innovation Fund Denmark´s  Innoexplorer grant aims to maturing entrepreneurship based on knowledge and research to allow company creation.

Among this round's recipients is Lasse Reimer, who was awarded DKK 1,5 million to his project entitled: "Therapeutic protection against progressive Parkinson’s disease through small molecule inhibition of the SERCA Ca2+ transporter".

Using patentable small molecules to normalize the Ca2+ homeostasis in Parkinson's Disease, the hope is, by the end of the 12 month grant period, to create a spin-out company with the potential to bring therapy to millions of patients.
