Job responsibilities
As a trainee animal technician, I’m gaining hands-on experience in caring for animals within a research environment. My role involves learning proper handling techniques and carrying out procedures such as dosings and injections, always with a focus on animal welfare and minimizing stress.
Alongside the practical skills, I’m also learning how to communicate effectively with research teams. This includes coordinating procedures, sharing observations, and understanding the scientific context behind our work to ensure high standards of care and collaboration.
This position is helping me build a solid foundation in both technical procedures and professional communication, while deepening my understanding of animal welfare in a research setting.
