Teaching at Biomedicine

As an employee at the Department of Biomedicine you are expected to contribute to our high academic and didactic standards in teaching and supervising, and we prioritize hiring skilled teachers. As a teacher you will benefit from our Danish students who are used to an informal learning environment with many professional discussions.

Teaching at the Department of Biomedicine is rewarding

"I have a passion for preparing young people for their futures as doctors or scientists."

Mai Marie Holm, associate professor at Biomedicine.

If you become a teacher at Biomedicine, you will be affiliated with one of five teaching teams. Each team is responsible for several courses and you can therefore expect to be associated with more than one course. In the teams we develop and test ideas or discuss challenges associated with modern teaching. The teams are:

  • Microscopic and Macroscopic Anatomy
  • Genetics
  • Biochemistry and Physiology
  • Microbiology and Immunology
  • Pharmacology

Our management team and team leaders distribute teachers to the teaching teams - in correspondence with the employee. Please note that it is up to the course leaders and the teachers on the individual courses to decide on a substructure, such as for example to appoint co-course leaders, set up subcommittees e.g. examination committees, etc.
