Services and facilities

Analysis

  • Flow cytometry analysis of cells with a up to 40 different markers on the same cells
  • DNA cell cycle analyses
  • Analysis of flow cytometry data in FlowJo or NovoExpress
  • Image analysis with a maximum of 10 different markers - excellent for translocation studies as well as verifying a staining pattern
  • Analysis of images from ImageStream in IDEAS

Cells sorting

  • Sorting heterogeneous single cell populations into homogeneous populations for down-stream experiments
  • Sorting of cells with a maximum of about 20 different markers
  • Sorting and/or index sorting of cells into 6-well, 12-well, 24-well, 96-well, 384-well, and 1536-well plates
  • Sorting of cells - up to 6 different populations simultaneously - into tubes (0.2 ml, 1.5 ml, 5 ml, 15 m or 50 ml)
  • Sorting on slides or chamber slides
  • Single cell sorting for cloning
  • Enrichment of rare cell populations
  • Sorting can be performed at 4oC, 20oC, or 37oC

Panel Design Tools

As a service for all users of the FACS Core Facility, the facility has subscribed for a license of "EasyPanel", which is a very helpful Automated and Intelligent Panel Designer that can design panels of up to 40 colors in seconds.

If you register with your au e-mail (.au.dk) you will get free access to this tool. When you register as an Aarhus University user, the software knows our instruments and their configurations including the Agilent Novocytes, the ID7000 and the BigFoot.

Fluorofinder is a useful manual panel design tool. All FACS Core facility instruments are registered with configuration overview. You need to register to access these.

Search tools for antibodies

Biocompare enables you to search over 3 million antibodies from hundreds of antibody suppliers quickly and easily. Searches can be based on several experimental variables such as target antigen, species reactivity, host, conjugate or application. Compare antibodies from different companies side by side to find the one that best suits your research needs.

Antibody quality

ASCEND by BenchSci uses AI and machine learning to screen open and closed access publications and display published figures with no commercial bias.

Searches can be based on several experimental variables such as target antigen, clone, reactivity, application etc.

Peer reviewed panels

Optimized Multicolor Immunofluorescence Panel (OMIP). These panels have been validated and published, in the Cytometry part A journal, and are a useful resource for developing immunophenotyping panels for a variety of applications.
