Young Neuroscience Network

The Young Neuroscience Network connects junior scientists (students, PhD-students and Postdocs) working with Neuroscience at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital.

Activities in the network

Journal and Cine Clubs

Every month we invite you to join us for a captivating journey through the stories of neuroscience at our Cine Club event. At every event we explore films that delve into the complexities of the human brain. After the screening, we will discuss the neuroscience concepts depicted in the film. Share your insights and perspectives as we explore the intersection of science and cinema.

Workshops

During the year we will arrange different workshops with a focus on career advancements and skills. The aim of the workshops is to create a space for young neuroscientists to develop their academic skills and to meet peers alike in the field of Neuroscience.
The dates for the events will appear in the calendar below.

Mentorship Programme

One of the key activities in the network is the development of a Mentorship Programme, that connects young investigators with senior scientists.
The mentor-mentees program aims to foster a supportive environment where mentees can explore their academic interests, develop crucial skills, and navigate the complexities of the neuroscience landscape. Tailored for young neuroscientists, this program pairs mentees with experienced mentors who are established professionals or researchers in the field. Mentors provide constructive feedback, share their experiences, and offer advice on topics such as research methodology, academic writing, grant applications, and career development.
